Create winter at Quartier des spectacles

Competition to enhance public spaces with participatory installations


03.10.2011  ///  The winners of the Create Winter at Quartier des Spectacles competition are unveiled. The aim of the competition was to produce three distinctive experiences throughout the 2011 winter on Place Émilie-Gamelin, Place des Festivals and the area near the Saint-Laurent metro station.

The competition attracted 38 proposals by 27 creators. After the first round of judging, three finalists were selected for each of the sites. Shortlisted participants each received $5,000 towards the preparation of their detailed proposals. The public will have access to the selected experiences from December 15, 2011 to February 26, 2012.
