17.11.2011 /// As part of the architectural competition organized by the Ville de Montréal – Verdun Borough to design a cultural venue on its territory, Verdun Borough Mayor Claude Trudel, responsible for public safety and security on Ville de Montréal's Executive Committee, announced the names of the architectural firms that have qualified upon completion of this first stage.
The jury met on November 14 and 15 to analyse the 11 candidacies received and selected 4 firms :
- Les Architectes FABG
- Saucier + Perrotte, Architectes
- Dan S. Hanganu, Architectes
- Manon Asselin, Architecte and Jodoin Lamarre Pratte, Architectes in consortium
In the second stage, the finalists are called upon to refine their concepts, taking into account the jury’s comments. They must also complete their project teams based on the requirements set out in the competition. The jury will meet again in early 2012 to select a winning project.
